6. Jet Ski Ride

Renting a jet ski is another option to explore Biscayne Bay. They are fast, easy to drive and so much fun! Also, you can be two people on it which makes it a fun thing to do in Miami for couples.

You will also be able to enjoy the views of the city (especially downtown) and explore while having fun.

You can opt for either 30 minutes or 1-hour. That’s up to you.

If you choose 1-hour, you will get to see so much however, it can be a bit tiring as well. 30 minutes is still really good fun and longer than it seems.

7. Speedboat Tour

If you don’t want to drive your own jet ski, then you can opt for a speedboat tour. It’s a great alternative as you will experience the thrill of the speed while having more time to look around.

A speedboat tour is particularly good for first time visitors as you will be able to soak up the views.

It can get quite busy but if you feel like playing, you will be in for a treat!

13. South Beach Scenic Flight

If you’d rather doing something different and seeing Miami from a new angle, you can opt for a scenic flight from South Beach.

This is such a cool and unique thing to do in Miami! You will be meeting your pilot at Miami Executive Airport and then board a small plane.

You will be given headsets so you can communicate with the pilot.

15. Airboat ride in the Everglades

Located 1 hour out of Miami, the Everglades are one of the best national parks in the USA.

It’s famous for its wildlife, walks and wetlands.

As it turns out, one of the most popular activities in the Everglades happens to be a super fun one as well: airboat rides!

An airboat is a flat-bottomed watercraft that is particularly fast. It’s the perfect way to explore the Everglades as it’s full of mangroves and alligators.

The drivers are very experienced and know their way around.

You will discover the Everglades in all their beauty and have so much fun doing it!

Please note that you should always keep your hands and arms in the airboat. As previously mentioned, there are crocodiles and alligators in the swamps. Although this activity is not dangerous as it is, there are still some rules to respect.

16. SNUBA in Key West

Last but not least, SNUBA diving! This is such a great one! Not only is it a super fun thing to do in Key West but it’s also one of the rare places in the world where you can experience such thing.

SNUBA is a hybrid between scuba diving and snorkeling. Basically, you will be connected to oxygen through a wire. This means you don’t need all the equipment required for scuba diving (nor a license) but will have more flexibility in your swimming.

You don’t need to stay close to the surface or hold your breath. The air will be delivered to you through the tube.

This experience is only available in Key West (a couple of hours drive from Miami) but if you are up for a trip to the Keys, that’s very much worth it!
