Two days of Irish music, dancing, food and drink and it won’t cost you a penny to get in!
The Greater Danbury Irish Festival takes over the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center on Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th.
This was originally set for September 26th and 27th and the organizers moved it because of the weather forecast, so if you see a poster with the old dates on it, ignore it. ⚠️
There’s live music across the weekend, Irish food, and a row of vendors selling everything from Celtic art to Irish shortbread. 🎻
And the best part about it is that admission is free all weekend, and so is the parking.

☘️ What is it?
A two day celebration of Irish culture put on by the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center.
On the music side there will be the Four Leaf Clippers, Shocking Green, the Mighty Ploughboys, Jesse Ofgang, Steve O’Tree & Julie Thompson Sorcek, Feel the Green with Dean McGreen & Donna, the Tipperary Knights and Andy McGann CCE, with more besides. 🎶
The food comes from their house chef at Back Door Chicken & Burgers, and includes Irish favorites such as corned beef.
The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians are doing coffee, tea and baked goods including Irish soda bread. Celtic Cottage Bakery have sourdough, Irish muffins, shortbread, millionaire bars, and vegan and gluten free options too. 🍞
Vendors include UK Gourmet, Ogham Art, Celt Wares, Pottering Around Studio and Woodworking by Bob, and there’s a Kids Entertainment Tent to keep the little ones busy. 🎪

⚠️ About the date: The festival was moved from its original September 26th and 27th weekend because of the weather forecast. A lot of the promotional material still floating around online shows those old dates, so go by October 3rd and 4th.

🅿️ Parking: Free, in the lower lot at Lake Avenue and Oil Mill Road. It’s a short walk up the hill from there.
