Western Maine is getting its own Scottish festival, and this is the very first one.
Dixfield’s 1st Annual Scottish Festival lands on Saturday October 10th, from 9am to 4pm, at 200 Mountain View Drive.
Bagpipes, Highland Games, clans and heritage, live bands, vendors and food, all in one day. 🎶
And the best part about it is that admission is completely free.

🥁 What is it?
The first year of Western Maine’s Scottish Festival & Highland Games, hosted by Mountain View Campground Dixfield.
The poster sets it out as seven things. Scottish culture, Highland Games, live entertainment, clans and heritage, vendors and shopping, food and drink, and family fun. 🏴
On the entertainment side you’ve got a bagpiper, Dragon of Wortley, Prydein, and Colin Grant-Adams, a Scottish folksinger, guitarist and storyteller. 🎸
The Maine Ulster Scots Project will be there too with a tent and a display.
There isn’t that much information on it at the moment so I would recommend keeping an eye on their Facebook page for more updates!

⚠️ Worth knowing: Being a first year event, there’s not a lot published yet. No running order, and nothing on parking, dogs or accessibility, so it’s worth checking with the organizers before you set off.
