If you’re looking for a family-friendly thing to do in Fort Myers that isn’t the beach, this one is lovely!

Located in Fort Myers, Tiny Hiney Farm is a small family-run farm where pretty much everything is miniature.

The stars are the mini Highland cows, and on the hands-on tours you get to brush and pet them. 🐄

There’s also bottle feeding where you feed one of the baby mini Highland cows, but fair warning, it’s not always on (it depends if they have babies or not). It runs as a limited-time addition to their early morning tour, with only one group per day.

The other thing to know is that it’s reservation only. Walk-ins are not accepted, so you do need to book ahead.

That said, it’s only 15 minutes from Fort Myers, 45 minutes from Naples and 1 hour 15 from Sarasota, so it’s an easy one for a day out.

Please note that while I try to be as accurate as possible, I always recommend checking the official website and socials. Things can change quickly and as much as I try to stay on top of things, it’s not always the case.

🐄 What is it?

Tiny Hiney Farm is a 5-acre family farm.

The whole theme is miniature animals. Mini Highland cows, micro mini donkeys, miniature ponies, Nigerian Dwarf goats and miniature Zebu cattle. 🐮

To visit, you need to book one of their tours.

On the standard group tour you stay outside the enclosures. You hand-feed the rabbits, meet the guinea pigs, feed a tortoise, say hello to the goats at the fence and meet the donkeys, sheep and ponies. 🐰

On the hands-on tours you go inside the pens. You hold and brush a goat inside its pen, hand-feed the sheep, go into the chicken coop to collect eggs, and you get to brush and pet a mini Highland cow. 🥚

🍼 About the bottle feeding

This is the one everybody wants and it isn’t a permanent fixture.

The farm runs it as a limited-time addition to their early morning experience, and only one group gets booked per morning.

When they don’t have babies the right age, it simply isn’t available.

So if that’s the bit you’re going for, check with the farm before you build your day around it.
