Located in Plant City, the strawberry capital of Florida, Cow Creek Farm runs small guided tours on weekends through the fall and into spring.
It’s properly hands on rather than a ‘look’ sort of place, and there’s a tractor ride around the property thrown in. 🚜
Fair warning though. These sell out weeks ahead. When I checked a Saturday five weeks out, five of the seven start times had already gone and the other two were marked as filling fast. 🎟️
And it’s only 30 minutes from Tampa, so it makes for an easy morning out.

🐄 What is it?
A guided tour of a working farm, kept to small groups so everyone gets time with the animals.
It runs about an hour. Around 45 minutes of that is the walking tour, and the tractor ride makes up the rest. ⏱️
The Scottish Highland cattle are the reason most people come, but you’ll also meet goats, alpacas, mini donkeys and Radar, a rescued mustang. 🦙
Your guide talks you through animal care, sustainable farming, the history of the farm and the Highland breed, and there’s a bit on wild horses too.
When the tour finishes you don’t have to leave. You’re welcome to stay on and wander the farm at your own pace. 🐐
