If you love Greek food, this one is for you!
The Tampa Greek Festival takes over the grounds of St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in South Tampa.
There will be loads going on including homemade Greek food, live music, dance groups in traditional costume and guided tours of the church itself.
It’s on for 2 days, Friday November 6 from 4:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday November 7 from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
And if you just want the food, they run a proper takeout operation with its own pickup lot. π₯‘
Please note that while I try to be as accurate as possible, I always recommend checking the official website and socials. Things can change quickly and as much as I try to stay on top of things, it’s not always the case.

π¬π· What is it?
The Tampa Greek Festival is put on by the parish of St John the Baptist, and it runs on the church grounds in South Tampa.
The food is definitely the highlight. You’ll find homemade Greek cooking as well as loads of pastries and desserts. π₯
The thing to look out for is the hot Greek donuts, made to order and drizzled with honey and nuts.
There’s a market selling Greek and Mediterranean provisions, and a store with books, icons, jewelry and groceries if you want to take something home.
There will also be live music (by John Demas & the Omega Project).
There are three dance groups performing across the two days, Parea, Panigyri and Hara Mas, doing dances from the Greek mainland and the islands in traditional costume. π
On the Saturday evening one of the performances is followed by a dance lesson, so you can have a go yourself.
They also run guided tours of the church on both days.
And there’s a separate kids area with its own food and snacks. π§
π₯‘ Takeout: You don’t have to stay. Online orders open an hour after the festival opens and there’s curbside pickup in a dedicated lot. If you’re already there, you can just ask for a to-go container in the main food line.
