Have you been watching the new season of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime and fancy going to see what Jeremy has been up to? You’ve come to the right place!
I am a big fan of Clarkson’s Farm and as someone who grew up on a farm, I know this lifestyle way too well. Beyond the fact that Jeremy and Kaleb are hilarious, I genuinely love the show.
I think it shows perfectly how hard it is to be a farmer and all the financial challenges that come with it.
For this reason, I decided to go and see with my own eyes Clarkson’s Farm and put together this ultimate Cotswolds Itinerary for Jeremy Clarkson’s fans.

What to know about this Clarkson’s Farm Road Trip
Before we get started, it’s important to mention that this is a short road trip through the Cotswolds.
While you could get to the first destination with the train, you will need a car to complete it so make sure to take your own vehicle or hire a car.
The second thing to mention is that this road trip can be completed in a day or 2 so if you want to take it easy, plan to stay for the weekend. If you are in a rush, you can also do it in 1 day, especially in summer.
Stop 1: Chipping Norton
You will start your trip in Chipping Norton which is the nearest town to Diddly Farm. The town is mentioned several times in the series and there are some images shown as well.
It’s a good place to start your day with breakfast and walk around.
It’s an old market town and there are loads of cute local shops. You can also visit the Chipping Norton museum of local history if you want to learn more about the area.
From there, you can head back to the car and drive to Diddly Squat Farm Shop. It’s only a 6 minute drive.
Please note that you can not park on the side of the road. You have to park on the premises and it can get a bit busy so I recommend going there around 11AM max.
Finally, if you are travelling with a dog, you’ll be happy to know that all these places are dog-friendly apart from the shop but you can still do everything.
Stop 2: Diddly Farm Shop & Restaurant
Once you get to Diddly Farm, you can walk towards the sign and take a photo before walking to the shop. If you are lucky, Lisa will be there but whichever way, it’s nice to see the products.
There are all kinds of local products including some that Jeremy farms or makes himself (though you won’t find the £10 nettle soup anymore).
Once you’re done with your shopping, walk around the building to the restaurant and food truck.
There is a big rock with ‘Diddly Farm’ written on it. This is a good photo spot, especially on a nice and sunny day.
The restaurant and café serves a variety of dishes using products from the farm. The food truck specialises in burgers with beef and mushrooms from the farm.
It’s a good place to grab lunch but it’s important to mention that it’s not the cheapest.
Having said that, the products are local and you’ll recognise quite a few people from the show.
Once you’re done, head back to the car to drive to Lower Slaughter. This should take about 25 minutes.
Stop 3: Lower Slaughter
Lower Slaughter is one of the cutest villages in the Cotswolds and while it’s not directly linked to Clarkson’s Farm, it’s the perfect starting point to discover another place linked to Jeremy.
When you arrive in Lower Slaughter, you can park on the side of the road. You will see there is a walking path leading you to Bourton-on-the-Water. Don’t take it at this point since it’s worth checking out the village first.
It’s a lot less touristy than Castle Combe or Bibury and it’s just as quaint.
You can walk on the side of the stream and discover the beautiful stone houses.
Once you’re done, make your way back to the pathway to Bourton-on-the-Water. The path is quite pleasant and the fields next to it usually have the horses from the equestrian centre next door.
After about 15 minutes, you’ll reach the main road. Keep following it towards Bourton-on-the-Water and turn right when you see the ‘Hawkstone Brewery’ signs.
Stop 4: Hawkstone Brewery
Hawkstone Brewery was created by Jeremy Clarkson and Rick & Emma from the Cotswold Brew Co.
Jeremy isn’t actually the person brewing here, it’s Rick Keene however the idea for the brewery came from a collaboration between the three of them.
For this reason, you will find the beer at Diddly Squat Farm Shop. The brewery also sells chips made with Jeremy’s potatoes.
The brewery is a beautiful hidden gem in the Cotswolds and the perfect place to visit on a sunny day.
They offer guided tours but you need to check the times on their official website.
Even if that doesn’t match with your availability, it’s still worth going to grab a drink.
They have loads of tables with benches made of straw. It has a very countryside feel!
Moreover, their beer is very good and they have a wide range for you to try.
It’s a great place to have a drink and just chill for the rest of the day. They also have some night animations if you want to stay for longer.
Stop 5: Bourton-on-the-Water
If you are still up for a walk, you can keep going until you reach Bourton-on-the-Water. It’s not far from the brewery (about 15 minutes) but it’s important to remember you’ll need to make your way back as well.
Bourton-on-the-Water is a quintessential Cotswolds village. There is a stream running in the middle which makes it a great place to explore in summer.
You’ll find loads of shops and restaurants so if you want to grab a bite or buy souvenirs, that’s a good place to do so.
The Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection and the Model Village are also nice places to visit if you have a bit of extra time.
Once you’re done, you can make your way back to the car.
